If Necessity is the Mother of Invention...

Then Boredom is the Mother of Destruction.

Yesterday after nap, Ollie and Henry came up with this prize invention.
Invention 002.1
I am sure this is how the Wright Brothers started.
Invention 005.1
Or maybe the Marx Brothers.
Invention 006.1
Let's hope not the Marx brothers that included Karl Marx.
Invention 007.1
Maybe for clarity we should tell them to shoot for the 2 Stooges.
Yes, that's a dream that all mothers share.
Invention 008.1
At least they'd get paid to cut up and hit each other. And I could be their genius mom who inspired them at such a young age.
Yes. I'm sure that's it.

Well, if nothing else, they're playing nicely with each other. (At least in the pictures.) They look real sweet. Ornery. But sweet. :)

How clever! And they look so innocent! Maybe they will end up like the Marx brother's or the Wright brothers! ;)

That's cute. :) I love O's bed hair, too. You have to think that most inventors get that I-just-woke-up-and-my-hair-is-standing-on-end look after their invention is a success!

Awwww, so cute! Isn't it funny what they can come up with? :)

Thanks for your kind comment on my blog. You have the greatest scenario with your son going to the half day kindergarten next year, then to full day the following year. Those were our exact plans when we lived in Huntsville, but we moved and it changed things up a bit. We had to choose to send him twice to kindergarten or twice to pre-k. Good luck! Your zoo pictures are amazing and I love your blog.

Yes I can so believe this....O was the first one to figure out how to attach the wheelbarrow to the bikes at school and put another child in the wheelbarrow as his passenger. :)

It IS a sign of brilliance.

And speaking of brilliance - you just reminded me that I got an inchworm for Ike's birthday - last April. It's still in the attic! OOPS! I guess Santa will find it.

I love dropping by your place! It gives me a moment to remember those precious years, when my boys had little chubby cheeks and one was too young to talk (so no one ever argued!) Precious memories today!!

Better be careful and not leave them unattended very long. Bored, intelligent children can be very .... creative!!!
