What the Boys Think about a Sister:: a Movie Montage

People ask me every day, "What do the boys think about having a sister?"
And I have been curious about that myself! But it's hard to get into 2 and 4 year old minds; all that's allowed in there are cartoon lyrics, their favorite book and the word "NO".

Really, I don't know how much of this they grasp at their ages, but we're trying to explain it.
Again and again.

I've been asking them on camera for the past week exactly what they thought.
And here is my first iMovie Production!

Thoughts about a Sister from The Other Mama on Vimeo.

{FYI: I left "Would you sit up?", "That's 'Yes, ma'am'" and "Oh, that's interesting" in there on purpose. Because that's what I say ALL the time. And Spielberg told me that I needed to make it "real"- or maybe that was the cast of the Real World years ago.}

My sweet boys and their crazy-haired video is linked to Things I Love Thursday at the lovely Jill's Diaper Diaries. She is the best; go check out everyone else's Things they Love!

I never get to be first commenter! Whohoo! That video is precious- my favorite is O-man saying "it's a cry for help" as though he's correcting your callous heart. ha! P.S. I just had a thought- will baby girl be in the sewing magazine at some point like her beautiful brothers?

Oh my goodness....I love it!! I took your survey, but I need to retake it to add that I'd like to see more movie productions like this one! Don't forget your options of Disaster and Earline! :)I'm sure the boys would like those choices too!

That is so sweet and cute! The boys seem as if they are excited! Good for you for talking it up to them so they will be used to the idea!

OMG I love your production. Very, very creative!! By the last time you asked did they say "I told you it's a girl!", cause that's what mine would do, LOL!!

Cute! What program do you use to edit your videos?

Also - your tip about the Firefox plug-in for Google Reader? Changed. My. Life. (thank you)

YOU ARE AWESOMENESS INCARNATE. I am so tickled pink by your first movie! (and totally jealous of the iMovie software. The kinds of vloggy things I could do with that!)

I personally love the statement "She's gonna cry for help." Cause yes, Ollie. She is going to cry for help. That's what we girls do. And then when you offer to help Dunbar/God (Henceforth refered to as DG) she will get angry that you tried to help her. And since DG will like trees, you can't climb up one to get away from her. Welcome to big brotherhood, kid! :)

That video is just precious! You will have to do that again after she arrives! I think they just might find themselves more excited then! ;0)

Very cute! Maybe some day I can find time to learn about editing. That would require something to edit, maybe I'll start there. Love coming to see what you're up to! :)

Adorable. When I found out that we were having a girl for our third child my 6 yo rolled her eyes and said, "Does this mean I have to like Superman now?"

I'd hug you, but this screen makes it a little awkward.
